Monkey and Hunter Apparatus
Dual-purpose unit demonstrates parabolic collision and trajectories
Perform this classic experment with minimal set-up time. The "hunter's gun" is a tube with a spring-loaded launching poston that allows you to adjust the projectile ball's trajectory. The "monkey" is a ball held in place by a battery-powered electromagnet. When you fire the projectile, the electromagnet's circuit is broken; the ball falls and is hit by the projectile.
Features:
Self-contained--the electromagnet is battery operated.
Clearly visible--pieces are large and brightly colored.
Easy to set up--the gun comes with a mounting plate.
Versatile--use the "hunter's gun" alone as a trajectory apparatus.
Includes metal launcher, electromagnetic free-fall unit, two plastic projectile balls, and complete instructions. Also includes an angle mirror accessory that makes it easier to sight the gun during aiming. Requires support stand and 1.5 "D" dry cell battery.
Required Accessories:
A-shaped support base, 22×20cm
Threaded aluminum rod, 1.3×81cm
Right-angle clamp
"D"size alkaline battery
