Tippe Top
A "Tippe Top" is a top which, when spun on its base, will tip itself over automatically and continue spinning on its stem -- a behaviour apparently caused by sliding friction effects with the ground. It looks really cool, though, and you can buy these things at any local science-novelty store, so if you've never seen a Tippe Top do its thing, you should rush right out and buy one.
