The dramatic properties of gyroscopes are experience first hand as students use this high-quality bicycle wheel gyroscope. When spun, the 65cm-diameter wheel rotates smoothly. Metal suspension hooks on the ends of the handles let you hang it by one or two cords during a lecture demonstration. For an even greater hands-on experience, have students hold the gyroscope while standing on our Rotating Platform, Rotating Stool, or Basic Turntable. As students try to turn the gyroscope, the resulting torque will literally apin them around. The wheel features wooden hand guards for protection; comes with complete instrustion.
