Using this large, quality set, you can demonstrate both the physical phenomenon of polarization and its use for analyzing stresses. Two 25cm linear polarizers are mounted in metal rims with their axes marked. You can use the stand as a base. When yu stress the included plastic V-shapes between the polarizers with your fingers, the become birefringnet and create bright colors and patterns along lines of internal strain. Shining a diffused light source onto the rear of the screens creates this and other interesting effects. The set comes with stand and a booklet decribing the aspects of polarization.
