Demonstrate the Conversion of Heat to Electrical Energy
Set includes 3 thermocouples. Each is made of different materials to produce different voltages when heated to the same temperature. Once you've established the voltage at a known temperature, you can use the thermocouples as thermometers. They'll give you both a wide range and a high degree of accuracy. Each thermocouple consists of two 1m wires of different metals, soldered together and insulated over half their length. The set includes 1 each of iron-constantan, copper-constantan and nichrome-constantan. Requires a multimeter, such as Digital Multimeter, 32703, sold separately.
