Show the Orientation of a Magnetic Field Produced by an Electrical Current

When your whole class needs to see, you need to work with a large version of this classic experiment. The rectangular brass frame surrounds a high-visibility magnetic needle that pivots on an adjustable support. This means you can position the needle wherever your demonstration demands-parallel to,below or on either side of the current carring wire. A single dry-cell battery provides current to deflect the needle and to demonstrate mapping of the current's magnetic field. Includes instructions. Requires a dry cell battery, such as 79145-01 or power supply, such as 33032 12VAC/DC Low Voltage PowerSupply, not included. Size of frame: 15 × 25cm.
